The Genetic Aortic Disorders Association (GADA) is accepting applications for a one-year grant for basic, translational or clinical research on any genetic aortic disorder. The grant award, not to exceed CAD $50,000 (USD $ 34,500), will be made in 2017 from funds provided to the GADA Research Program by The Temerty Family Foundation.

GADA's Scientific Review Committee, consisting of experts in basic, translational and clinical research, will review each application. Grant awards are based on the approval of GADA's Board of Directors.

GADA’s grant program is created to provide financial support for researchers who may hold a position of Principal Investigator or equivalent. The principal investigator must have an earned doctoral or other terminal degree in a bio-medical discipline. The investigator must have proven ability to pursue independent research as evidenced by original research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

The research may be performed in Canada or internationally.
