2013 CMA-NMF Research Grant $100,000

The Canadian Marfan Foundation (CMA) is pleased to announce it's second year in partnership with the National Marfan Foundation (NMF) to support Marfan syndrome and related disorder research. Applications are being request for a two-year grant for basic or clinical research. The grant program is designed to provide financial support for investigators studying any or all disciplines involved in Marfan syndrome and related disorders. Grant awards are based on proposal evaluation by the NMF Scientific Advisory Board with the approval of the NMF Board of Directors. The NMF and CMA will co-fund the two-year grant for $100,000. The CMA Research Grant Program is funded by The Temerty Family Foundation.

International applicants are welcome and encouraged.

Submissions must be made through the National Marfan Foundation website using the provided application form only by clicking the link below. 

Special areas of interest include basic research, translational studies and clinical studies in cardiovascular, genetic, orthopedic and ophthalmologic issues utilizing synergistic collaborations, integration of novel theories from non-traditional researchers into established paradigms, novel animal model systems; innovation and the distillation of knowledge into practical new therapies. Proposals from junior investigators, new investigators and international investigators are also welcomed
